EMH is the one-stop place for membrane expertise & partnerships!
The European Membrane House is a non-profit making international association set up in 2008 by universities and research institutes in 10 European countries working together within the framework of NanoMemPro (FP6 Network of Excellence). The European Membrane Society is also an EMH founding member.

We are pleased to welcome Agfa and Norit as EMH members.
AGFA Gevaert NV has recently presented membrane technology for wastewater treatment and sustainable energy markets, more specifically for Membrane BioReactors (MBRs) and separators for alkaline electrolysers, supported by a patent portfolio consisting of granted and pending patents.
Norit [sells] activated carbon, membranes, pumps, aseptic and hygienic valves, carbon dioxide systems, and quality control equipment. “More than 9 percent of the world's population - over half a billion people - consumes water purified by Norit.”

EMH is one of the participants and a WP leader in the new ChemWater project "Coordinating European Strategies on Sustainable Materials, Processes and Emerging Technologies Development in Chemical Process and Water Industry across Technology Platforms" (FP7-CA). It aims to define, coordinate and implement a joint interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral European strategy on Sustainable Materials, Processes and Emerging Technologies Development directly linked to enhance and optimize the industrial water management cycle across strategic European Technology Platforms and connecting also with existing initiatives coming from European, national and regional stakeholders. EMH is happy to announce the agreement of the EACEA to support the new Erasmus Mundus Master in Membrane Engineering "EM3E" and PhD programme "EUDIME". They offer an advanced education programme in membrane science and engineering. It involves different Higher Education Institutions of several European countries. It offer a unique framework to prepare the future of membranologists that Europe will need. more details

A Day For Membranes in Alexandria, Egypt |
|
EMH was invited on April 13th,2010 by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt, to set up a Membrane Technology Track Event "Membrane Technologies in MENA & MEDA Countries" during the international conference "BioVisionAlexandria". This Event was organized under the leadership of the EMH in collaboration with the UNESCO SIMEV Chair (Membranes for the Environment – Prof. Louis Cot). It was devoted to water issues and related questions of health in the Middle-East and Mediterranean countries. See details
