What is EMH?

EMH is the one-stop place for membrane expertise & partnerships!

The European Membrane House is a non-profit making international association set up in 2008 by universities and research institutes in 10 European countries working together around membrane technologies within the framework of NanoMemPro (FP6 Network of Excellence). The European Membrane Society is also an EMH founding member.

Our Projects

The EMH is an associate partner and WP leader in the new FP7 - Marie Curie project DYNANO "Dynamic interactive nanosystems". See on : www.dynano.eu

EMH is a WP leader in the CARENA FP7 project "CAtalytic membrane REactors based on New mAterials for C1-C4 valorization".

EMH is a WP leader in the ChemWater FP7 project "Coordinating European Strategies on Sustainable Materials, Processes and Emerging Technologies Development in Chemical Process and Water Industry across Technology Platforms".

The EMH and the EMS strongly support the Erasmus Mundus Master in Membrane Engineering EM3E and the Erasmus Mundus Doctorate in Membrane Engineering EUDIME will host the first students in the next academic year 2011-2012. Both programs offer an advanced education program in membrane science and engineering and a unique framework to prepare the future of membranologists that Europe will need.

Industrial Technologies 2012 on June 19-21st 2012 in Aarhus, Danemark

Industrial Technologies 2012, the largest event in the field of industrial technologies (nano, materials and production) will show how innovation can boost European growth and competitiveness.
Three days of insightful plenaries and conference sessions with over 100 speakers will reveal the impact of industrial technologies and promote solutions to improve the environment for innovation in Europe, including workshops, matchmaking, poster sessions and site visits to leading Danish companies. The highlight of this year’s event will be the Award Gala, where the winner of the Best Project Award will be nominated. More information

A Symposium on Electromembrane Processes and Materials. Czech Republic

The satellite meeting of the 63^rd Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry will be held on August 26-29^th2012, in the charming town of Český Krumlov, Czech Republic. The topic of the symposium is Electromembrane Processes and Materials.

This event offers a unique networking opportunity for scientists active in this important field of research and industrial applications. The main aim of this event is to bring together experts active in various disciplines of this research field and thus to promote a discussion of the challenges and solutions from various viewpoints.

MemBridge Project : A Data Base

We offer a database of 512 enterprises and institutions of the South of the Russian Federation related to the processing of raw materials, metallurgy, mechanical engineering and machine tools, repair equipment , etc., as well as light industry , petrochemicals, power generation, food processing, water purification, construction materials, scientific and research organizations, that are potential users of membrane technology (http://techresearch.ru/dbase_demo2.htm)

The database consists of the details of 512 organizations : name, legal form, a brief description of their activities , where possible, economic and technical indicators of the company, address, phone, e-mail and website, contact person. (version of April 2011).

The demo version may be downloaded here (Data-base). This demo is supported by the European Commission under the international project Membridge and free of charge to public.
