Advanced Membrane Technology Working Group - 1st Meeting

The first workshop of the WssTP Advanced Membrane Technology Working Group took place on May 13th at Maisons-Laffite, France. WssTP is the European Technology Platform for Water. EMH’s executive director is a co-leader of the Working Group, along with a representative of Veolia Water. The workshop was hosted at Veolia Water’s headquarters.

24 participants from 9 countries participated in the workshop.

They brainstormed on 2 topics:

- Next generation of processes of hybrid membrane systems for water treatment
- Next generation of processes for low-energy desalination.

A second meeting took place on November 25, 2014 in Brussels, Belgium. A synthesis document will be issued in January 2015 , as a basis to start setting up new joint projects and to feed the preparation of EU calls for projects.
