Workshop on September 15th-16th 2011 in Norway. http://www.next-gtl.eu/pdfs/Workshop%20Announcement.pdf
Workshop dedicated to Novel Materials for Future Energy Supply and a Clean Environment was organized by “The European Nanoporous Materials Institute of Excellence (ENMIX)” and the “European Membrane House (EMH)” on September 15th-16th 2011 in Norway. Young scientists (post-docs and Ph-D students) associated to ENMIX and EMH participated at the workshop 1. Porous materials in future energy supply, invited lecturer: R. Rakoczy, Süd-Chemie AG 2. Membranes/filters/adsorbents for improved separation and purification, invited lecturer: G. M. Rios, University of Montpellier 3. Advanced environmental applications using porous materials, including “clean water”, invited lecturer: M. Derewinski, Polish Academy of Sciences2nd Membrane Track Event at ICCMR10. June 22nd, 2011. St. Petersburg, Russia. The 2nd Membrane Track Event "Membrane Technologies in relation with the Central and Eastern Europe : Membrane Reactors for Biotechnology & Energy Production" was organized during the 10th International Conference on Catalysis in Membrane Reactors ICCMR10, on June 22nd 2011, in St. Petersburg-Russia. Leaflet_vf This Event was organized by the EMH with a specific French financial support. It was coupled with the MemBridge FP7 project, which is aimed at enlarging and reinforcing strategic partnerships between European and Russian/NIS researchers in the field of membrane science. The main objective of this Event was to develop links and to create a synergy between Russia/NIS and the central Europe. It was devoted to Membrane Reactors for Energy and Biotechnology.

Seminary devoted to "Membrane & Nanotechnologies". June 6th, 2011. European Membrane Institute IEMM (Montpellier-France) The European Membrane Institute (IEMM/ UMR 5635) organized in Montpellier last June 6th a one‐day seminary devoted to “Membranes and nanotechnologies”, a hot topic regarding research in progress and new industrial opportunities. Experts from different countries gave their views and their personal experience in this broad area, reported on new trends and perspectives as they appear from literature... the ultimate goal was to discuss the holistic approaches which are necessary to tackle correctly the new challenges. The European Membrane House has a long story of collaborative activities in this field (through the coordination of the NoE NanoMemPro, through its leading position with the new Erasmus Master EM3E in Membrane Engineering or its partner position with the EUDIME PhD program as well as through a lot of other projects and achievements). The EMH supported this Event. The seminary was a successful one with fruitful discussions. more than 70 participants were present. Presentations :

(April 11th-16th, 2010) Alexandria, Egypt EMH was invited to set up a Membrane Technology Track Event under the leadership of both the UNESCO SIMEV Chair (Membranes for the Environment – Prof. Louis Cot) and EMH. The Membrane Technology Track Event was devoted to water issues and the related questions of health in the Middle-East and Mediterranean countries. The main objective of the Track Event was to discuss membranes as strongly enabling technologies and to see how they can help tackle paramount water issues.
